An honest conversation about pricing + documentation
How is wedding photography priced?
1
There are many factors that go into my pricing (guest count, hours of coverage, years of experience, budget, etc). the main factor being that my time and energy is limited and I put a lot of my energy into my couples and my brides. If you read through my reviews you’ll see a lot of camera shy people talking about what a relief it was that I guided them through the whole process. That prep thats makes you trust the camera starts long before the wedding day and its what makes the work so special for me.
Why is experience important?
With over 7 years photographing weddings, I’ve seen a lot of things go wrong but rarely has it affected the quality of the images or the flow of the day. The power has gone out, videographers haven’t shown up, there’s an issue with the florals, bugs, heat, etc.. Experience helps me make quick decisions. I know what parts of the timeline can be moved around so we can make the best of any situation.
Your videographer didn’t show? I give my extra camera to a trusted family member. (this happened to me this year haha)
The power goes out? We do all of the no power needed photos asap and pray it comes back.
Experience is the game changer that helps you enjoy and helps me document every moment of your day no matter what happens. When I can get your portraits in as little as 10 minutes so you can enjoy your cocktail hour or when you tell me what family members are important for photos.
Experience allows me to capture the speeches and the reactions and all of the love in between. It allows your day to flow smoothly and it gives you the most precious thing - time.

Posing?

Posing!!! We love her. I always tell my couples the posing is my job, I just guide you through it. I take a different approach with every person and have lots of little steps and questionnaires that help prep you for the photos.
How do I pick the right photographer?

Honestly, if photos are low on your priority list then i’m probably not the photographer for you and thats okay!! I care a lot about getting to know my brides + grooms and being a pillar of support on such a meaningful day. Sometimes photos are all you have left and I take that job very seriously.
